ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday gave directions for cancellation of more than 2,000 passports issued in violation of rules.

Chairing a high level meeting at the Interior Ministry in Islamabad on Saturday, the interior minister said corrupt elements in police and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) should be identified and directed to remove corrupt officers from the Revenue Department.

The interior minister also gave instructions for gathering of data about slum areas and encroachments in Islamabad.
