ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain stressing the need of betterment of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on Wednesday said the government in this respect would soon introduce new laws, that will bring about positive results.

The President expressed these views while addressing a gathering of the students of Islamia College University Peshawar and Islamia College Lahore, held here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in connection with the birth-day celebrations of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

He said as the operationalization of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will help boost economic activities and create ample job opportunities in the country, the youth should get themselves prepared to benefit from the opportunities.

The Present said as the current educational curriculum did not match the modern-day demands, the government would soon introduce educational reforms and work in this respect was under process.

“To achieve our status in the comity of nation, we are once again required to exhibit the spirit of Pakistan Movement, so that we can strengthen our country’s economy by eliminating corruption and immorality,” he remarked.

The President said the country’s youth can play effective role in the fight against corruption.

He said the projects initiated by the present government will change the destiny of country, adding, as these projects were very important for Pakistan’s progress and prosperity, the new generation should unite for the success of these projects.

The President said Islamia College Peshawar, Islamia College Lahore, Aligarh University and Sindh Madrassa tul Islam Karachi played very important role in Pakistan Movement.

“This movement has not yet ended, but is continuing and it relates with the struggle for national solidarity and unity, and through this struggle, we have to eliminate corruption and immorality from the country,” he added.

The President called upon the youth to root out despondency, focus on their education and then fulfil their responsibilities with honesty, because it was the only way to change the country’s destiny.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Islamia College University Peshawar, Ajmal Khan and Principal Islamia College Lahore, Prof. Tahir Javed presented the President some commemorative pictures and books.

Two students Ali Hasnain Naqvi and Tayyaba Javed also spoke on the occasion.
