NCOC Special Session takes place in Peshawar

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) Special Session presided over by the Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives Asad Umar took place in Peshawar on Monday.

The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan being the host also attended the NCOC Special Session.

The National Coordinator NCOC Lieutenant General Hamood Uz Zaman Khan & Core Team of the NCOC attended the Special Session.

The Management of Cattle Mandis on Eid Ul Azha, compliance of health guidelines, and administrative measures to contain the COVID-19 pandemic were the focus of the Special Session of the NCOC in Peshawar.NCOC - The National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) Special Session presided over by the Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives Asad Umar will take place in Peshawar on Monday. Meanwhile, as per the NCOC data, 1,176 people were tested positive for the Coronavirus and 20 infected persons lost their lives on July 26 across the Country. On July 26, a total of 22,056 COVID-19 tests were conducted including 10,480 in Sindh, 7,023 in Punjab, 1,732 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,644 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), 639 in Balochistan, 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 436 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). The NCOC data says that 3,592 more people were recovered from the disease on Sunday, taking to the number of recovered people in the Country to 241,026. The highest number of infections have been registered in Sindh wherein by now, 118,311 people have tested positive and 2,151 have died. In Punjab, 92,073 people have been infected and 2,116 have lost their lives. Likewise, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has registered 33,397 Coronavirus Cases and 1,178 deaths, ICT has registered 14,884 Cases and 164 deaths, and Balochistan has registered 11,601 Cases and 136 deaths. Whereas in AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan, 2,034 Coronavirus Cases & 49 deaths and 1,989 Cases & 48 deaths have so far been registered respectively.

Meanwhile while addressing a news briefing along with the Chief Minister Mahmood Khan in Peshawar, Asad Umar lauded steps of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Asad Umar said that due to impactful efforts of the provincial government, the Coronavirus Cases have decreased drastically in the area.

The federal minister felicitated the Chief Minister and his team for leading from the front in the time of crisis and devising comprehensive policy in this regard.

In his remarks, the Chief Minister Mahmood Khan said that the government has decided to celebrate Eid Ul Azha with simplicity this year.

Mahmood Khan urged the people to strictly follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) during Eid Ul Azha.

As per the NCOC data, 1,176 people were tested positive for the Coronavirus and 20 infected persons lost their lives on July 26 across the Country.

On July 26, a total of 22,056 COVID-19 tests were conducted including 10,480 in Sindh, 7,023 in Punjab, 1,732 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,644 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), 639 in Balochistan, 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 436 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

The NCOC data says that 3,592 more people were recovered from the disease on Sunday, taking to the number of recovered people in the Country to 241,026.
