LONDON: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government will bring reforms in its five-year term, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Monday while talking to media in London.
The prime minister said that the parliament has played an important role in the current political crisis.
Sharif said that the entire parliament and the nation stands on the one side while a handful elements stand isolated on the other.
The premier said said that the political leadership has demonstrated maturity in the prevailing situation and all the democratic institutions are working as per their mandate.
To a question, Nawaz Sharif said that those staging sit-ins are doing their work while the government will continue to function without any detraction. He however, said the sit-ins are hurting the economy.
About his remarks on Kashmir dispute at the UN General Assembly session, the prime minister said that he represented the stance of Pakistan and aspirations of the Pakistani people. He said that his government has a commitment on the resolution of this longstanding dispute.
