ANKARA, Turkey: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglue are holding talks at the Chankya Palace in Ankara on Friday on the Middle East crisis with focus on situation in Yemen.
The talks, which aim to find an amicable solution to the Yemen crises, are being held shortly after the Pakistani premier arrived in Ankara on a one-day visit to discuss the evolving situation in Yemen.
The two prime ministers will also discuss bilateral matters and cooperation in diverse fields.
Besides delegation level talks, both the leaders will also hold one on one meeting.
Nawaz Sharif will also call on the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and hold talks on Yemen issue.
Earlier, the Pakistani premier was accorded a red carpet welcome on his arrival at Chankya palace where his Turkish counterpart received him.
The advisor to prime minister on foreign affairs and national security Sartaj Aziz, the special assistant on foreign affairs Tariq Fatimi and the foreign secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry are also accompanying the prime minister on the visit.
Sharif is also expected to visit other Islamic countries to find out a peaceful solution to Yemen crisis and for promotion of unity amongst the Muslim Ummah.
