Nawaz Sharif intends to resolve political crisis in amicable way, says Sattar

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar said on Wednesday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif intends to resolve the current political crisis in an amicable way.

The MQM leader was talking to media after a delegation of his party which was led by Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and included Farooq Sattar, Haider Abbas Rizvi and Babar Ghouri called on the prime minister at the PM house in Islamabad to discuss the ongoing political deadlock.

The prime minister was accompanied by the Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif and the Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed.

Sattar said that the prime minister heard the proposals of the MQM delegation open heartedly. He said that we have proposed that a high level delegation from the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) should also meet to the leadership of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) to resolve the issue through dialogue.

The MQM leader said that it is our sincere effort to bring the issue to its logical end. He appealed both the government and agitating parties to show flexibility in their attitude to steer the country out of crisis.
