ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that no concession will be given to those involved in Kasur child sexual abuse, the biggest ever scandal of this kind in the country’s history.

On Saturday, the scandal surfaced in Husain Khanwala village of Punjab’s Kasur district where 280 children were subjected to sexual abuse and later their videos were sold. The reports said that an organised gang of over 25 criminals were involved in the crime.

In a statement, the prime minister took serious notice of the incident of children’s abuse in Kasur and expressed anger and grief over the incident.

The prime minister said that no concession will be given with the accused involved in the incident. He directed to take stern action against those involved in the incident.

The main accused of Kasur child abuse scandal Haseeb Amir on Sunday confessed that he subjected the children to abuse and made their videos, according to the Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation Kasur Nadeem Abbas.

Meanwhile, police have arrested eight accused including ring leader involved in the case.

Talking to newsmen, the District Police Officer (DPO) Kasur Rai Babar Saeed said some accused have obtained interim bail and the police are actively pursuing for cancellation of the bail.

The reports said that several parents of victims were consistently blackmailed and coerced into paying hundreds of thousands of rupees with threats of releasing the videos in public. The reports said that families in the locality were helpless as officials all along remained apathetic to the incident.

The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has already ordered a judicial inquiry into the incident.

In a statement in Lahore, the Punjab Chief Minister said that the Judicial Inquiry will be conducted to probe the Kasur issue. He said that the affected families will be provided justice at all costs.
