ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has congratulated the entire nation as well as Pakistani cricket team on historic Test series’ win against West Indies.

In a statement issued on Monday, the prime minister appreciated the team players and management for their efforts which resulted into a remarkable win for the Country.

The prime minister also praised legendary cricket players Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan for their contributions and invaluable services for the national cricket team.

“Youth in general and young cricketers in particular must learn from the great experiences, sportsmanship and consistent hard work of the two great players of the game,” the prime minister said.

Meanwhile, the former Pakistan Test Captain and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan also congratulated to Pakistan team over their historic test series win in the West Indies.

Imran Khan also congratulated to Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan over their great achievements for Pakistan, and for retiring with a grace & dignity.

Pakistan recorded its first ever victory against West Indies in a bilateral Test series in the Caribbean when it beaten the Host by 101 runs in last Test of three-match series at Windsor Park in Roseau on Sunday.

The leg-spinner Yasir Shah took 25 wickets in the series, and declared Man of the Series.

With the victory over West Indies at Windsor Park, the exceptional career of two legends of Pakistan Cricket Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan ended.

On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
