Nabeel Gabol tenders resignation from NA

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Nabeel Gabol has tendered his resignation from the National Assembly on Tuesday.

Talking to media in Islamabad, Nabeel Gabol said that he had submitted his resignation to the party 15 days ago, and today he came to the Parliament House to submit his resignation to the Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

“MQM is an organization party and I was misfit for the MQM” Nabeel Gabol said. However, he said that he still has friendship with many people in the party and does not have any differences.

Nabeel Gabol said that he will announce his future course of action tomorrow.

Meanwhile, a MQM spokesman said that Nabeel Gabol has resigned from the National Assembly for personnel reasons. He said that Nabeel Gabol was not giving time to solve people’s problems in his constituency.

The spokesman said that that party had advised Nabeel Gabol to tender his resignation from the lower house of the parliament.

The MQM leader Rasheed Godail said that Nabeel Gabol has not resigned from the party. He said that Nabeel Gabol is still the member of the MQM as well as the member of the Central Executive Council (CEC).

Rasheed Godail said that Nabeel Gabol is part of the MQM and will remain so in the future. He further said that giving resignation is not a new thing in Pakistani politics.
