ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is organizing a first ever Seminar for creation of “SAARC Nations Anti-Corruption Forum” from September 26 in Islamabad, according to the bureau Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry.

The two-day day seminar will discuss causes of corruption in South Asia, exchange of ideas and experiences to reduce corruption, steps taken by the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries to eradicate corruption from South Asia and efforts made to aware people about the ill effect of corruption.

In a statement, the NAB Chairman said that the seminar will provide an opportunity to all SAARC countries to work together for public awareness to fight against corruption which is one of the major hurdles in the way of progress and prosperity of the region.

The NAB Chairman said that it will help strengthen cooperation amongst the SAARC countries in the fight against corruption.

To attend the Seminar, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka and India including Secretary General SAARC have consented.
