KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has demanded the government to withdraw an FIR registered against Nabeel Gabol in the murder case of banned People Aman Committee (PAC) leader Zafar Baloch, terming it an incident of political victimization.

In a statement issued from London, the MQM chief expressed strong reaction against the case, saying a false case of Zafar Baloch’s murder has been lodged against Nabeel Gabol like Nadeem Hashmi.

Hussain demanded that the revenge activities against the MQM should be stemmed.

On Friday, an FIR was lodged by police against MQM lawmaker Nabeel Gabol in the murder case of PAC leader Zafar Baloch.

Zafar Baloch, a key figure of the outlawed PAC, was shot dead on Wednesday by unknown assailants on motorcycles in Karachi’s Lyari area.

The FIR was lodged against the lawmaker on behalf of Baloch’s father, who told police that assailants riding motorbikes killed his son, adding that he could identify the attackers.
