Almaty: Ministry of Emergency of Kazakhstan confirms that some “unidentified burning object” are falling in the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan.

“On Friday, February 15, 2013, there were reports of unidentified burning object falls on the border with the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan – Aschilisay Kargaly near the villages of the area, and Kazanka Karatogay Martukskogo district of Aktobe region” – said in a statement. It notes that, according to preliminary information, these objects are meteorites.

As reported, on February 15 in the north of Kazakhstan, as well as in Tyumen, Kurgan, Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk region was a meteor rain. One of the meteorites that fell in the Chelyabinsk region, causing serious damage. In particular, hundreds of houses were shattered windows and damaged furniture. At Chelyabinsk zinc plant collapsed part of the wall and the roof of the warehouse.
