Monitoring Desk: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman has revealed that the provincial government of Khaybar Pukhtunkhawa gives 10 percent of the total budget to terrorists of TTP as protection money.

While addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Maulana Fazlur Rehman confirmed that the KP government gives protection money to the terror outfit of TTP and he accepted that the law and order situation was very grave in KP.

It is pertinent to mention that by sensing the gravity of the situation, the government of Pakistan has announced the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative to fight out terrorism, radicalism, violence, and extremism in the country but political parties of the province have rejected to support this initiative.

A background check of politicians, journalists, and political analysts who are doing negative propaganda against the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative indicates their economic interests are directly or indirectly linked with legal and illegal business ties with Pak-Afghan bordering areas. They understand that forthcoming Operation Azm-e-Istehkam would clog loopholes within the system that offers edible smuggling, arms deals, weapon trade, and availability of criminals for abductions for ransom, paid killing, land grabbing, and several other unlawful and prohibited activities.
