Government of PakistanMaryam Nawaz advises PML-N supporters to stay calm

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Following the reported plan of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supporters to resist Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) planned March towards Raiwind, Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Saturday advised them to stay calm.

“Earnest request to PML-N supporters to stay calm and not read much into Raiwind dharna,” the daughter of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wrote on her Twitter handle.

“Mr. Khan is an unemployed, idle man who has to kill time,” she remarked.

Imran Khan-led PTI plans to March towards Raiwind as part of efforts to pressurize the federal government to initiate an investigation into Panama leaks which involved the prime minister’s family having offshore companies.

However, the party has not yet announced the final date of the march but while talking to media at his Bani Gala residence on Friday, the PTI Chairman Imran Khan said that he would announce Raiwind March date on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the PTI has decided to register case against State Minister Abid Sher Ali, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and PML-N leaders for hurling threats on party leaders and workers with reference to Raiwind March.
