LONDON: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPM) and Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will contest the upcoming elections separately, however both parties can negotiatie on the seat adjustment, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on Saturday.
A meeting was held between Interior Minister Rehman Malik and MQM chief Altaf Hussain in London at which both the leaders discussed current political situation in the country, the sources said.
During the meeting, the interior minister conveyed president Zardari’s message to Altaf Hussain also.
The minister hailed the efforts of MQM and said that without their support, it was not possible for the government to complete its five-year term.
The MQM chief said that old companionship will continue in the best interest of Pakistan, for peace and stability in Sindh and to strengthen brotherhood and unity in the country.
DND
