Local govt elections in KPK to be held in March next year: ECP

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said on Thursday that the local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be held in March next year.

Talking to media in Islamabad on Thursday, the ECP secretary Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan said that ballot paper would be used in most of the areas of the province and biometric system would be introduced only at a limited scale.

The ECP secretary further said that the commission has decided not to take any action with regard to dropping of pamphlets by helicopter in Multan yesterday.

Ishtiaq Ahmad said that no complaint has been lodged with the commission in this regard.
