LAHORE: Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif said on Thursday that the duration of load shedding will be increased in coming weeks.
Talking to the media representatives in Lahore on Thursday‚ the minister said due to closure of canals and reduction in gas supply to power stations‚ electricity shortfall will increase that will result in load shedding.
The minister said that gas supply has been increased to the industrial sector; therefore‚ supply to the power stations is being reduced.
Khawaja Asif apologized to the nation in advance for this inconvenience, with an appeal to the domestic consumers to save the electricity.
