Lahore:  Lahore Police on Monday claimed that  five alleged robbers, each bearing Rs.3 lakh head-money were killed in an encounter in Lahore that left no policemen hurted.

Police claimed that they were wanted to police in various cases of murders and kidnapping for ransom. Encounter took place in remote suburban area of Lahore on Bediyan Road last night. Police claimed that police parties arrived in the area and cordoned it off to take the action which left five of the bandits dead. Surprisingly, no causality took place at police side as two of the bandits managed to flee the shootout.

The bandits, identified as Irfan, Babar, Tanvir Hussain, Muhsin and Imran, were bearing Rs.3 lakh head-money apiece. Lahore police often kills bandits in suspected encounters, a big question mark on the performance of law enforcers
