ISLAMABAD: Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso says the mandate of the caretaker government is to ensure free‚ fair‚ transparent and credible elections and maintain conducive environment for the upcoming general elections.

Talking to Minister for Interior Malik Muhammad Habib Khan in Islamabad today‚ he said it is necessary that the caretaker government‚ its Ministers and the government machinery conducts itself impartially.

During the meeting the issue of statement made by the Interior Minister pertaining to a political leader came under discussion.

The Interior Minister apprised the Prime Minister that the statement as was made with good intensions. However‚ his expression has created an impression which was not intended.

The Interior Minister informed the Prime Minister that he has reached out to all political parties and has maintained contacts with them without any discrimination with a view to maintain a conducive environment.

The Prime Minister said that the caretaker government is obliged to conduct the affairs of the government in the run up of elections where no one can raise questions about its probity.

Mir Hazar Khan Khoso said that he expects the caretaker government‚ its Ministers and the government machinery to focus their energies for holding general elections.
