Kashmiris in India are facing political and physical purge: Ex-chief of RAW...

Monitoring Desk: Ex-spymaster of India and former Chief of Indian Intelligence Agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), A. S. Dulat believes that Kashmiris (Indian Occupied Kashmir) are facing political and physical purge.

He believes that Kashmiris are left behind and nobody is ready to listen Kashmiris and to understand Kashmir crises.

In an exclusive interview with Vineet Malhotra, Executive Editor of Harvest TV News, Dulat was of the view that India deliberately avoided dialogue with Pakistan although Pakistan is and was ready for dialogue for reaching a workable solution for Kashmir valley through negotiations.

He claimed that former President of Pakistan Gen Pervez Musharraf and former Prime Minister of India Vajpayee almost reached consensus with Kashmir solution but we (Indians) missed this opportunity. He stated that violence in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) will continue till the time Kashmir issue is not resolved through dialogue.

Born as Amarjit Singh Dulat in 1940, he had been chief of RAW from 1999 to 2000 and also served as Advisor on Kashmir to Indian Prime Minister from January 2000 to May 2004.

Dulat also served in Indian Occupied Kashmir as Joint Director in the Intelligence Bureau from 1988 to 1990, which was arguably the most troublesome time in the valley. He is also known for his book Kashmir: The Vajpayee Years and is considered as the top expert of Kashmir issue internationally.

Dulat was of the view that New Delhi is not ready to listen Kashmiri people even people like Farooq Abdullah who served New Delhi for decades.

He was of opinion that Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan generously offered de-escalation to India but Indian government looks in different mood. He stated that there is no solution of Kashmir except through dialogue and talks.

In his detailed interview, he expressed his grief that Kashmiris (of Indian Occupied Kashmir) are not considered as human being by Indians and are facing political and physical purge.
