ISLAMABAD: Afghan President Hamid Karzai has assured the release of all Pakistani prisoners in that country, Jamiat Ulema e Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman told media.

Fazl, who arrived in Islamabad on Monday after a three-day visit to Kabul on the invitation of President Hamid Karzai, told newsmen that JUI-F supports talks between Afghan Taliban and the United States.

The JUI-F chief said that he had not known under which agenda Afghan president had invited him to visit Kabul. He said that the Indian lobby had strengthened in Afghanistan after the fall of Taliban government.

Moreover, he said that Pakistan failed to find space in Afghanistan even after rendering sacrifices in Jihad.
