ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has cautioned that the next one month is difficult for dealing with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as the number of infected patients in the Country has already mounted to 181,088 while 3,590 have succumbed to it.

In his remarks at the ceremony for the commencement of three Ehsaas initiatives including Ehsaas Rashan Portal, Ehsaas Langar, and Panagah App and PM’s COVID Relief Fund website in Islamabad, the prime minister said that the government is implementing smart lockdown in Coronavirus Hotspots of the Country to protect mainly the most vulnerable people.

The prime minister said that the elderly people and those already suffering from serious diseases are the most vulnerable people; and if they are protected against Coronavirus, the impact of the pandemic will get considerably reduced.Coronavirus - Prime Minister Imran Khan has cautioned that the next one month is difficult for dealing with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as the number of infected patients in the Country has already mounted to 181,088 while 3,590 have succumbed to it. The prime minister said that PM's Corona Relief Fund has been established to financially help the people who lost their employments because of the lockdown. Imran Khan said that the government will add Rs 4 against each rupee donated in the fund. He said that the website of the Fund will help donors reach the deserving people. He said that the government will continue facilitating a connection between donors and the deserving people. Moreover, he said the government will incrementally increase the number of Panagahs and Langar Khanas to expand the network. He said that donors will be informed about their every penny donated for welfare of the people.

In addition, he said that the Ehsaas program and the government’s policy of easing the lockdown have helped lessen the effect of the COVID-19.
