KARACHI, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain said here Monday that various power generation projects were being executed in the country and there will be no or a little load shedding by the year 2018.
Addressing the passing out parade of 52nd batch of Pakistan Marine Academy here, he said the power generation projects initiated by the present government will take some time in completion. The nation should support the government because all national projects are aimed for betterment of the country, he added.
The Karachi operation will continue till establishment of the absolute peace in the metropolis, he said.
The President expressed pleasure on attending the passing out parade ceremony and said he is the first President of the country, who has attended the ceremony in the Academy.
He also congratulated the passing out cadets, their teachers and parents on successfully completing two-year training at the Academy as well as wished them success in their future.
He hoped that the passing out cadets will give their best to fulfil the aspirations of the country in their professional fields.
President Mamnoon observed that the trade and strategic scene of the world has been changed and Pakistan has gained more importance in the new scenario.
The country, he said will further get importance on completion of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and fully operationalization of Gwadar Port that would help open new avenues for the economy, he added.
He said that as the economic activities will increase in the country the demand of skilled and professional manpower will also rise.
The Institutions like Naval Academy should prepare themselves to face the challenge to produce required manpower for the country in accordance with the demand, President Mamnoon Hussain advised.
He said every individual has right to have bright future for which hard work and efforts in the right direction was pre-requisite.
The President observed that the betterment of an individual was linked with the development of the country, therefore, all should play their due role for progress and prosperity of the country.
He called upon the nation to keep an active watch on corrupt elements and strive together for elimination of corruption.
Commandant Pakistan Marine Academy (PMA), Commodore Akber Naqi, Minister for Ports and Shipping, Kamran Michael and families of out-going cadets of Pakistan Marine Academy were also present.
