Islamabad records highest daily COVID-19 Cases, positivity ratio jumps to 22.30%

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) recorded 1,836 new Coronavirus Cases on January 24, the highest figure recorded in a day since the pandemic began.

In the last 24 hours, 8,234 COVID tests were conducted in the ICT and 1,836 of them returned positive, recording a positivity ratio of 22.30%.

To date, a total of 120,128 Coronavirus Cases have surfaced so far in Islamabad while 976 infected people have succumbed to the disease.

Meanwhile, the overall COVID-19 positivity ratio in the Country stood at 12.81% on January 24 with the emergence of 6,357 new Cases.

The latest statistics released by the NCOC on Tuesday morning showed that 17 people died of Coronavirus across the Country in the last 24 hours.

In total, the Country has so far recorded 1,381,152 COVID-19 Cases and 29,122 deaths since the outset.

Of total infected persons, 1,269,634 have recuperated now while 82,396 are still battling with the virus.
