ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court on Thursday sought report from the Inspector General, Islamabad as to why police was not able to arrest former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf.

In its six-page written order, the court said that the security guards were also involved in Musharraf’s escape.

The court asked ‘why there was not enough police force to stop Musharraf?

The court demanded a report regarding responsible police officers at the scene adding that the police was failed in arresting the former ruler.

The court said Musharraf was an absconder that is why he can’t have the same rights as of a common suspect.
