ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar Friday apprised the National Assembly that any decision regarding extension of Custom Act in Malakand Division would be taken in the light of Law Ministry’s recommendations.
Replying to point of order, he said that promise regarding payment of net hydel profit to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be fulfilled, adding it was 20 years old issue and the present government was trying to resolve it.
He said Ministry of Water and Power was also involved in this issue.
Earlier, MNA Sahibzada Tariqullah demanded withdrawal decision of imposition of Customs Act in Malakhand Division as provincial government had already moved its summary withdrawing its early decision.
Replying to another point of order, he said that after consensus on amendments among all political parties, the Honour Killing Bill and Rape bill would be presented in the joint sitting of the parliament.
He said that these bills were on the legislative business of the joint sitting of the parliament but on the request of two religious parties it was delayed for evolving consensus.
He said that these bills were not lapsed and would be presented soon the joint sitting.
