ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain has said that no effort will be spared to meet all requirements of the armed forces to ensure internal and external security of the country.

In his address at a ceremony in Islamabad on Friday to give away awards to the participants of Pakistan Day parade, the president said that JF 17 Thunder jets and Burraq drone speak volume of country’s self-reliance in defense.

Congratulating the troops on successful conduct of Pakistan Day parade, the president said that the spectacular show gave a clear message to the enemy that the country’s armed forces are fully capable to defeat their sordid designs.

Mamnoon Hussain appreciated the sacrifices rendered by the security forces in the war on terror. He said that the Operation Zarb-e-Azb has been successful in eliminating network of terrorists to a great extent. He said that Pakistan will soon be able to completely overcome the menace.

Earlier, the president gave away shields to participants of the parade.
