TAUNSA: River Indus at Taunsa is likely to attain High Flood Level ranging between five hundred seventy five thousand to six hundred thousand cusecs for 24 hours from 6:00 pm today.

According to the warning issued by Flood Forecasting Division (FFD) Lahore‚ High to Very High Flood Level is likely to continue in the Nullahs of River Ravi and Chenab during next twelve hours.

Threat of flash floods in eastern Balochistan and Dera Ghazi Khan Division will reduce by tomorrow.

A flood emergency has been declared in Dera Ghazi Khan District following heavy rains and flood in Indus River.

A spokesman of District Government in Dera Ghazi Khan told  Multan correspondent that rescue teams have been sent to low-lying areas to shift the people to safer places.

Flood relief camps have also been set up at fifty government schools in the district.
