In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that those killed due to the Indian firing included the 14-year-old Atif and the 22-year-old Muhammad Adnan while the injured persons included three children and two women.

“Pakistani troops befittingly responded to Indian shelling,” the ISPR statement said.

Last week, the ISPR said in a press release that the Indian troops have committed ceasefire violations 35 times since June 9.

The ISPR said that of late, a sudden spike both in terms of intensity, caliber escalation and air space violations by India has been observed along the Line of Control (LoC) and working boundary.

“India is exhibiting aggressive posturing through enhanced movement of troops, extensive reconnaissance, targeting of civilians and increased use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Drones violating airspace of Pakistan,” the ISPR said.
