New Delhi, India: The former Indian National Security Adviser and Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon has said that India is facing diplomatic isolation with every passing day.

Addressing a public hearing in Delhi on Friday January 3, 2020 organised by the Constitutional Conduct Group and Karwan-e-Mohabbat, Shivshankar Menon said that Howdy Modi kind of gimmick are (were) harmed Indian diplomatic gains and India is (was) losing internationally due to reckless action of Modi Sarkar to get domestic gains.

Shivshankar Menon who is respected as an icon and philosopher in the field of Diplomacy (domestically and internationally) was looking demoralized and sad while interacting an important gathering at today’s public hearing.

Menon joined Indian Foreign Service in 1972 and served the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) as Advisor to the Atomic Energy Commission while he was also posted in Vienna, Austria.

He is known as an expert in Indo-Sino Relation and served at three positions in China including as Indian Ambassador in China. Menon also served as Ambassador to Israel and High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

He was appointed as Foreign Secretary in 2006 and was chosen by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh as his National Security Advisor.
