South AsiaIndia is an extremist country: Pak Info minister

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Information Pervaiz Rasheed has said that the world has come to know that India is an extremist country.

Talking to media representatives in Islamabad, Rasheed said that violent acts of Hindu extremists have unveiled the real face of India.

The information minister strongly condemned the Indian hostile attitude with Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shehryar Khan, and urged India to take action against extremists as it was also a serious threat to Indian future.

On Monday, the extremists belonging to Shiv Sena group stormed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) headquarters in Mumbai where the PCB Chairman was to hold a meeting with the BCCI Chairman Shashank Manohar to discuss the Pak-India series.

The Hindu extremists threatened the PCB officials and asked them to leave India. The group activists warned Pakistan against holding of any bilateral series with India.

Furthermore, the extremists also threatened the Pakistani Umpire Aleem Dar, asking him to officiate in the rest of the India-South Africa series matches.

Rasheed further told media that Pakistan has already made sincere efforts to bring peace in the world particularly in South Asia. He said that Pakistan has presented four-point suggestions during the United Nations General Assembly session to bring long-lasting peace in the region.
