ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed has urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to attend important meetings which discuss strategy for addressing terror-related issues.
Talking to private television channel, the minister underlined the need for collective efforts to address national issues such as terrorism, energy and economy.
The information minister said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held a meeting in Karachi and reviewed important matters including the national action plan and Baldia Town incident. He said that Imran Khan should also attend such meetings to discuss strategy for addressing the issues.
The minister also asked the PTI chief to come to the Parliament which is the best forum for taking up issues.
On Monday, the prime minister presided over a meeting of the Sindh apex committee at the Governor House in Karachi to review implementation of national action plan to weed out terrorism from the country.
During the meeting, the prime minister said that the government had no option but to win the war against terrorism because Pakistan’s future and security depended on eradication of this scourge from the country.
The prime minister said the action plan had been prepared in the wake of the Peshawar school massacre in agreement with all political parties to eliminate terrorism.
