ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday issued contempt notice to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) interim chairman Najam Sethi for not abiding by court orders to elect a permanent head of the Pakistan’s cricket’s governing body.
The notice was issued by the IHC Chief Justice Justice Shaukat Siddiqui as he was hearing a petition filed by Ahmed Nawaz, seeking proceedings against Sethi for ignoring court orders.
In his contempt application, the counsel for Nawaz, Advocate Abdul Razak Rajab had maintained that despite the court order Sethi was performing his duties which amounted to contempt of court.
The court, in its orders, directed Najam Sethi to file his reply in two weeks.
