Media circles claim that Hamid Mir has joined GNN (Gourmet News Network) as President of the channel which will on air soon.

According to available information, Hamid Mir had serious conversation with owners of Jang group of Publication which owns Geo television over the suspension of salaries among staff of television channel for the last four months. he was also not happy over editorial policy of Geo television since a year or so. Hamid believes that freedom of expression is being compromised in country and he is very vocal over this issue while Geo television was (is) denying such narrative and believes that there is no issue of freedom of expression in the country.
