Govt assures its team full support in dialogue with Taliban

ISLAMABAD: The federal minister for interior Pervaiz Rashid said on Friday that the government will extend all out cooperation to its committee for negotiations with the Taliban team aimed at bringing peace to the country.

Talking to media representatives in Islamabad on Friday, the minister said that the government will never create hurdle in the way of any positive proposal during the dialogue rather it will fully support each step of the dialogue process for its success.

The minister said that the dialogue does not mean to bring peace to tribal areas alone rather the government intends to bring peace to the whole country through dialogue.

Rashid said that a number of states including Britain and Ireland have held dialogue with their dissident groups to settle the issues, adding that even the United States is holding dialogue with the Talban for this purpose.

Moreover, the said that the US has declared the dialogue process as an internal issue of Pakistan.
