PakistanGovernor Sindh Ishratul Ebad leaves for London; likely to resign

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad is likely to step down as he left on Friday morning for London to have an important meeting with Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

The party’s high command summoned the governor in London after a new turning point came in Sindh’s political situation on Thursday when Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) government revoked the Sindh People’s Local Government Ordinance amid strong protest from the MQM.

According to reports, Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Khoro would be acting governor and is likely to sign 1979 local bodies system.
