Golden Jubilee of 1965 war: Pakistan state media plans special transmission
Islamabad, Pakistan: State media including Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television have planned special marathon transmissions to celebrate 50th year of shameful defeat of India in 1965 war.
Radio Pakistan has released features of its special transmission “Jan Nisaroon Ko Salam”, to pay homage to valiant personnel of armed forces who bravely repulsed aggression by the enemy.
The transmission would be aired on medium wave, FM-93, and
FM-94 networks. Excerpts from speeches of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, messages by President, Prime Minister, and Services Chiefs, national and war songs like Yeh Watan Tumhara Hey, Ah Watan Key Sajeeley Jawano, and eye-witness account of change of guard on tomb of Quaid-i-Azam would also be part of programme Subh-e Pakistan.
Address of former President, Muhammad Ayyub Khan to nation during 1965 war, national and war songs like, Ay Dushman-e Deen Tu Ney Kis Quam Ko Lalkara, and musical feature ‘Jang Tarang’ on songs written during 1965 war would be broadcast from 0810 hours to 0900 hours.
Special ceremony scheduled at GHQ, special talks, songs, and impressions of common people would be aired between 0910 hours and 1000 hours, said a press release.
Interviews of Ghazis, special talk ‘National Action Plan Per Mukamal Ham Ahangi,’ special programmes to pay homage to heroes of September War, impression of the family members of 1965 war, impressions of relatives of martyrs of Zarb-e Azb, discussion programmes, and national and war songs will be the hallmark of the day long transmission.
Special show on Defense Day would be aired at 0830 hours followed by radio reports of ceremonies held across country in connection with Defense Day.
