PESHAWAR, Pakistan: At least four persons died and six others injured in rain related incidents in Charsadda district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Khyber agency of Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA).

According to Spokesman of Provincial Disaster Management Authority, due to last night heavy rain and hailstorm in Charsadda district, two persons died and as many others injured at village Jaranda Bara in Thangi tehsil due to roof collapse of a house.

The dead include seven years old Shoaib Umar and Mst Shah Khurram wife of Murad Khan whereas the injured identified are Intekhab son of Fazal Molla and Lehaz who were shifted to hospital. He said directives have been issued to Provincial Disaster Management Unit Charsadda for provision of speedy relief to the affected families.

Meanwhile, two persons died and four others injured when a car was swept away by the gushing water at village Loi Shalman in Khyber Agency, according to political administration.

Relief activities continued in the rain hit areas and officials were busy in assistance and rehabilitation of the victims.
