The ceremony was attended by lawyers, Civil Society agents and others.

Earlier, Former Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had said that he would announce his political party and manifesto on December 25.

The 66-year-old Iftikhar Chaudhry was appointed as the 18th Chief Justice of Pakistan by the then President Pervez Musharraf on June 30, 2005.
