TEXAS: A state of emergency was declared on Friday in Texas by US President Barack Obama, two days after a blast took place at West Fertilizer Plant in the Texas town of West that killed at least 14 people, injured 200 people and damaged several buildings.
Under the order, the US Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) was authorized to “identify, mobilize, and provide at its discretion, equipment and resources necessary to alleviate the impacts of the emergency.”
