ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Adviser to the Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui has said the Government wanted to form the inquiry commission on Panama leaks with the consensus of all political parties.
Talking to Pakistan Television (PTV), he said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had announced to form the inquiry commission soon after the Panama reports were released. It was the timely decision taken by the Prime Minister, he added.
Siddiqui said consultation was being made with opposition parties on the formation of the commission.
The adviser said the government had presented itself for investigation through an independent inquiry commission. All other persons, whose names were included in the Panama papers, should present themselves for an inquiry voluntarily, he added.
