ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said the government would ensure return of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) to their native areas with honour and respect.
He was talking to Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, designated Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who called on him here at the PM House.
The Prime Minister said the entire nation in general and the people of Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) in particular, deserve due recognition for their support in the war against terrorism.
The Prime Minister expressed the hope that the new Governor will continue to work for the development and welfare of the people of FATA and KPK.
He said the government was committed and resolved to bring FATA at par with rest of the country and providing all facilities.
The Prime Minister wished Iqbal Zafar Jhagra well on the assignment. The Governor-designate thanked the Prime Minister for reposing trust in him by nominating him as Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and said he would continue the work initiated by his predecessor for improving conditions in FATA.
