ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has submitted an assessment report of all over-rated purchased properties of the Employees Old Age Benefit Institute (EOBI) to the Supreme Court in fraud case.
The federal probe agency presented EOBI properties’ assessment report, prepared by the Nespak, before a three-member bench of the Supreme Court.
According to the submitted report, those two properties’ current price has exceeded over 24 billion rupees, which had been purchased from the DHA in 22 billion rupees.
Properties had been purchased on over-rated prices in Chakwal and Kalar Kahar areas while a plaza of just 370 million rupees was purchased for hefty 1.02 billion rupees in Islamabad, reveals the report.
The report says further that a land of four hectares was purchased for 2.02 billion rupees in Karachi but its actual price was only 774.5 million rupees at that time.
Many properties’ assessment reports has not been finalized yet and amongst those are included a property of 120.9 million rupees in Sukkur and 11 properties of different prices in Lahore.
The court instructed to complete the assessment of all properties as soon as possible and adjourned hearing of the case till August 21.
