ISLAMABAD: Election process has started in Pakistan officially as all Returning Officers will start receiving nomination papers from candidates on March 24 and will continue to receive till 29 March for National Assembly as well as Provincial Assemblies seats.

Returning Officers will take 7 days for scrutiny of nomination papers and than final list will be posted outside of offices of respective Returning Officers. Usually political parties apply for more than one candidate for each seat because rejection of nomination paper during scrutiny can cause a drop of candidate. After process of Scrutiny of Papers and posting of list, political parties will withdraw their Covering candidates and then position will clear who is contesting election from what political party.
