Elections 2013ECP finalizes security plan for May 11 polls

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has finalized security plan for the May 11 polls which says Pakistan Army will remain on stand-by to act as quick response force.

According to the plan, about 30‚000 soldiers will be deployed in the quick response force to deal with any emergency situation on the polling day.

It further says security personnel will be deployed on all polling stations throughout the country on May 10. Moreover, seven security personnel will be deployed on sensitive polling stations while four personnel will be deputed on ordinary stations.
