ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A day after Indian forces claimed to have captured an alleged Pakistani terrorist in Jammu and Kashmir, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) record has rejected Indian allegation and revealed that he is not a Pakistani.

The official sources said that the captured terrorist Usman alias Muhammad Naveed is not a Pakistani as his information was not found in the NADRA record.

On Wednesday, Usman was caught by the Indian border security force (BSF) near Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir after terrorists carried out an attack on a BSF convoy.

The Indian media claimed that Usman belonged to Pakistan’s Faisalabad city and he arrived in Indian held Kashmir 12 days ago.

It was further claimed that Usman is a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LT) militant, and he entered the Jammu region along with a fellow terrorist identified as Momin Khan. But Momin Khan was killed in retaliatory fire by the BSF personnel.

“It’s fun doing this… I came to kill Hindus,” Usman told investigators according to India media.

“I am from Pakistan, my partner was killed in the firing but I escaped. Had I been killed, it would have been Allah’s will. There is fun in doing this,” he was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, the Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday will begin investigation into the matter involving Usman who, according to Indian media, told that he came to kill Hindus and targeted the annual Amarnath Yatra.

Moscow says it won’t allow US to silence UNSC on Israeli violence against Palestinians Monitoring Desk: Russian envoy in United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said that the UN Security Council should bring peace, stability and prosperity to the Middle East and Russia would not allow United States to silence UNSC over the issue of Gaza crisis. According to TASS news Agency, Nebenzya said that Moscow will continue to call for an end to violence against Palestinians and will not allow the US to muzzle the UN Security Council as Washington seeks to support Israel's operation in Gaza. "We will continue to stand firmly for ending violence against the Palestinians. Without a shadow of a doubt, we will continue to expose the abuses and sanctimony with which the US is handling the situation.
