Delegation from Al-Azhar University Cairo expresses solidarity with Kashmiris

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The caged Valley of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) is now receiving attention from all over the world and from all segments of societies.

A delegation of professors, teachers and students from Al-Azhar University and Mansuoria University Cairo, Egypt, has expressed solidarity with Kashmiris who are facing genocide in IOK.

A group of academia from Egyptian universities visited Pakistan to show solidarity with Kashmiris who are facing the worst genocide of 21st century under the brutal rule of Indian government in IOK. While concluding six-days visit, members of delegation assured Kashmiri leadership that they would raise the issue of Kashmir in their country and would inform people about grave situation being faced by Kashmiri Muslims in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Professor Dr. Ibrahim Mohamed Ibrahim of Al-Azhar University, Mrs Badria Mohamed Ahmed Abdelkagar of Mansuoria University, Mrs Shahd Saad Mohamed Saad Wasel of Al-Azhar University and Dr Hegazy Rabie Tawfik Ibrahim during their visit also met Kashmiri leader Mashal Malik (Mushaal Hussein Mullick) who is also wife of Kashmir’s Revolutionary Liberation Leader Yasin Malik.

She explained the delegation how genocide of Kashmiris is (was) being conducted by Indian Army in Occupied Kashmir.

She informed the delegation that Indian Army is using all tools to purge Kashmiri Muslims including raping girls, women and even aged women, abducting children and making them subject of extreme torture so they would not be able to do anything in future.

She stated that killing of young boys, burning of homes and shops of Muslims and denying them of medical cover are some of features of genocide designed by the BJP-led government.

She was of the view that the world must act and condemn the Indian government for militarisation of Jammu and Kashmir against the will of the indigenous people.

She added that India is denying international laws, UN Charter, relevant UNSC resolutions, Universal Declaration of Human Rights and International Covenant on Civil Rights in IoK.

Professor Dr. Ibrahim Mohamed Ibrahim and other members of delegation communicated their full support to the people of Kashmir and to the Kashmir cause. They expressed their concerns over gross violation of human rights, and assured Mushaal Hussein Mullick that they would raise the issue in their country.

The delegation also held a detail meeting with leadership of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) available in Islamabad. APHC leaders briefed the delegation about atrocities being faced by Kashmiris in IOK.

APHC leadership informed the Egyptian delegation that blanket imposition of prolonged curfew, persecution and torture of innocent people, mass arrests and abductions of peaceful activists is now covered by international media but still real situation is yet to come out because valley is under total censorship and cutting off all communications means.

APHC leadership stated that the Indian government is killing youth and children and sexual harassing and raping girls and women as a weapon of colonisation in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.

The Egyptian delegation held a separate meeting with the Speaker Azad and Jammu Kashmir Assembly Shah Ghulam Qadir who briefed the delegation about Indian Jingoism and war hysteria. He stated that BJP-led government is threat to global peace and pushing South Asia towards a dangerous situation.

Delegation also visited Muhajir Camp where displaced Kashmiris from IoK are living.
