CrimeDara Singh's son arrested by Mumbai police in IPL spot- fixing

MUMBAI: The first Bollywood link to the IPL spot-fixing scandal established today when Mumbai police arrested Vindu Dara Singh, the son of India actor Dara Singh.

He was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch for links with bookies.

Vindu is the son of Dara Singh and a winner of Indian reality show Bigg Boss.

This arrest followed the arrest of Ramesh Vyas, who was arrested a few days back. Vyas had links to key bookies Jupiter and others who were named by the Delhi police.

He was questioned by the Mumbai Crime Branch today. During IPL 6, he has been spotted with MS Dhoni’s wife, Sakhshi at the Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings match on April 6.

According to Indian media reports, the cops have evidence linking Vindu to bookies. They have also said that Vindu was in constant touch with bookies. He was picked up late last evening.

The massive spot-fixing scandal that has cast a shadow on the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), is getting murkier every day, with more people, cricketers and alleged bookies being arrested by the police.

18 people have been arrested so far.
