COVID positivity ratio in Pakistan stands at 12.53%

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Country recorded a COVID positivity ratio of 12.53% on January 23 as 7,195 people tested positive whereas eight patients lost the battle against the virus.

As per the statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday morning, 3 people each died in Punjab and Sindh while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) also recorded one death each in the last 24 hours.

The data showed that a total of 1,374,800 COVID-19 Cases have been detected so far across the Country.

Out of them, 526,899 Cases have been recorded in Sindh, 464,431 in Punjab, 185,340 in KPK, 118,292 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) 118,292, 35,400 in AJK, 33,941 in Balochistan, and 10,497 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Punjab – 9.61%

KPK – 8.83%

ICT – 12.71%

AJK – 14.25%

Balochistan- 6.37%

Gilgit-Baltistan – 3.06%

In addition, the Country has also recorded in total 29,105 COVID deaths by now including 13,108 in Punjab, 7,741 in Sindh, 5,975 in KPK, 976 in ICT, 751 in AJK, 367 in Balochistan, and 187 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

With a 92.3% ratio, 1,269,078 people have so far recovered from the disease across Pakistan making it a significant count.
