ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The COVID death toll in Pakistan has surged to 10,047 after 55 more patients suffering from the disease succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hours.
On December 29, 36,390 people were tested for Coronavirus throughout the Country, and 2,155 of them were found having contracted the virus.
So far in total, 477,240 people have been infected by COVID-19 in Pakistan but 430,113 of them have recovered now, registering a recovery ratio of 90.1%.
As of December 30, 37,080 COVID patients are under treatment across Pakistan and 2,219 of them are in critical condition.
As per the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC), the national COVID positivity ratio on December 29 stood at 5.92% while the highest positivity ratio was observed in Karachi 13.84% followed by Hyderabad 8.79% and Swat 7.89%.
